Man, I hated Neon Colosseum but I hate Sunset Colosseum even more. The pokemon have terrible moves that only chip off HP. I keep losing in the third round... I'm never going to make it beyond this colosseum. Oy.

The third Munchlax I happen to hatch on Pearl turns out to be... SHINY!



I was so surprised to see this! Wow. I don't believe it! *laughs* Now I wonder if I should keep hatching more Halveton the Munchlax or more Snoozwinks. It's been incredibly fun to keep pushing them out but... I guess I will keep going! I might get another! Who knows! hehehe.

You know, My platinum was getting pretty full with tons of trades due to all them Munchlax I've been pushing out. I decided to look over my Pearl game to see what I could do with it. Diamond was my main and Platinum was heavily used as well. Poor Pearl just got a once-through and that was it. I decided to rig up the Munchlax operation here as a test just in case.

I *forgot* how much of a pain it was to look through GTS on D/P. Surfing is also painfully slow. I'm really glad they sped it up on Platinum. Yikes.

Still no shiny Munchlax via this Masuda Method.

Ever heard of Pokemon GTS? It's a site that lists trades that have happened over the previous day. There's also other information - some that are helpful such as what pokemon were deposited with what pokemon they wanted in return.

Some people claim they have found their own trades on the site but I didn't think that was truly possible, you know? I mean... People tend to ask for the same stuff. Who knows!

Well, I had my own experience.



That was pretty neat! I couldn't believe that I had tracked down one trade. I was in a trading frenzy last night through the top 10 pokemon listed. It really helped me move my Munchlax out into the big wide world! hehe.

A friend brought up a good point. When you receive a foreign pokemon and it levels up, the name becomes your native language. I have no way to prove if this foreign Snorlax really is from another region or if they picked up an english Munchlax that evolved and took the foreign name. Sooooo... I searched and got a japanese Ditto and transferred over my Snorlax from FireRed. So I'm going to give that a whirl.

So far, I have sent off 62 "Halveton" and 4 "Snoozwinks" into the world. I still have a complete box of Munchlax sitting around for trades. I think later today I'll look through my national dex to see what pokemon still needs to be 'caught' and see if I can't get GTS rocking today.

Been breeding and hatching Munchlax with a foreign Snorlax in the Daycare with hopes of hatching a shiny Munchlax. In the meanwhile, I've been having fun putting up the endless Munchlaxes named "Halveton" in the GTS asking for random pokemon to help filling out my national dex.

If you received a Munchlax named 'Halveton' (and if you happen to receive one of the few females named 'Snoozwinks') and the OT is J'eph - That's me! hehe.

Just a note for my own sanity next time. My router was reset and then after, while I could connect to the net, it wouldn't stay connected for longer than a few seconds. I remember having to go into my router settings to change something but...

This solution finally worked for my Netgear so... documenting it for my safety. "B ONLY!!!"

I approached Darkrai on Newmoon Island. That was pretty cool.



I decided to catch him using a Luxury Ball because of the black/red colors.

Just like that, it was done with. Very quick! He didn't fight or struggle much.

Pokemon, surprisingly. Curse you, Munchlax.

The house in The Resort Area - Items you can buy

One of the items you can buy for the house in the Resort Area is a "Great Painting" after you hatch 30 eggs.

I also found out that there is something called Masuda Method where if you put pokemon from different regions into the daycare, such as one of your pokemon and a pokemon from Japan, it'll increase your chances of getting a shiny.

I figured the quickest way to hatch 30 eggs was to put my Ditto in the daycare and used a Magikarp from Japan. I hatched 30 eggs and didn't get a shiny.

Only now I'm left with a box full of Magikarp and I'm way too lazy to release them one-by-one. They really need to add a feature to release multiple pokemon in one sitting.

I've been playing the Picture Poker Minigame on New Super Mario Brothers to pass the time.

"Get a better hand than Luigi to win! If you're confident that your hand's the best, increase the number of coins you bet!"

2530 coins and 50 stars. I'm not sure how the amount of stars affect the game. I just know it makes me bid at least 4 coins now but I don't know if it affects how much I win. I haven't noticed anything new.

Wow! I'm training up my Banette so that I can use her for "Thief". After training, I head back to the Pokecenter and find out that I've contracted Pokerus! :o My first ever pokerus caught from the wild! Wow. ... now back to your regular programming.

Hm! Seems to be a new craze sweeping through pokemon!

It's still annoying that games would play without you or that "someone drops out" but now that I'm able to play a game once in a blue moon, I have to say my favorite is Swalot Plop. I'm... a little addicted to it! I keep winning at the game! hehe.
