I've been playing the Picture Poker Minigame on New Super Mario Brothers to pass the time.

"Get a better hand than Luigi to win! If you're confident that your hand's the best, increase the number of coins you bet!"

This is my personal best thus far:



2530 coins and 50 stars. I'm not sure how the amount of stars affect the game. I just know it makes me bid at least 4 coins now but I don't know if it affects how much I win. I haven't noticed anything new.

I guess nuclear weapons. Times are changing so fast that I believe we'll die by our own hand.

Wow! I'm training up my Banette so that I can use her for "Thief". After training, I head back to the Pokecenter and find out that I've contracted Pokerus! :o My first ever pokerus caught from the wild! Wow. ... now back to your regular programming.

Hm! Seems to be a new craze sweeping through pokemon!

It's still annoying that games would play without you or that "someone drops out" but now that I'm able to play a game once in a blue moon, I have to say my favorite is Swalot Plop. I'm... a little addicted to it! I keep winning at the game! hehe.

Got my hands on Pokemon Platinum. Surprisingly, it also came with a Giratina figure and the DS carrying case even though I didn't pre-order. Gotta love Wal-Mart.

Now off to play the game. I chose Piplup for the third time. Oh well.

I finally downloaded the three Extra Missions:

Dialga in Hia Valley!?
Palkia in Haruba Desert!?
For the Bride and Shaymin!

It's too bad the missions don't provide the pokemon to transfer into Diamond or Pearl.

I completed all 60 missions of this game as well as completed the WiFi missions in order to get the Manaphy Egg, Riolu, and Darkrai.

The game was mostly boring. Every step of the game was planned so it was far from playing anything like Diamond/Pearl. I did eventually get used to the 'story' format so it was something to do to pass the time.

Almia Castle was pretty neat though...

Now I just have to wait for the DSi down the road in order to trade the pokemon off the game!

I filmed myself running around with seven eeveelutions in order to complete a quest (Murph's 4th RanCon). It's tricky to get all seven eeveelutions because you have to get them in a certain order.

Ocean would be nice but I guess the mountains would be neat too. Perhaps a moderate-sized island so that there's a mountain in the middle and surrounded by water.

I cheated on my Diamond by asking a friend to wifi me some strong pokemon to defeat the E4 on my game. At the time, I had just come off finishing Emerald and wasn't in the mood to train up a new team so soon.

I honestly beat the E4 on FireRed and Emerald - and then just cheated on every other GBA game because I was only trying to collect the pokemon to fill up the pokedexes as much as I could on my FR and E.

I got my hands on Pearl to tide me over until Platinum comes... and I decided that I need to honestly beat the E4 on the Sinnoh region.

UPDATE (August 10, 2008)

I got impatient with the training and decided to take my chances with five trained pokemon. The sixth was a lvl 42 Medicham. It did not see a single second of the battling.

My experience... My team did just fine. A couple of hang-ups but all good with revives and full restores. What I would change differently is to get a dragon-type (Garchomp?) to take care of Cynthia's Garchomp. It took quite a bit of battling and revives to take care of him. Phew.

I entered the Hall of Fame at 54:08. I can now say I honestly beat the E4 in the Sinnoh Region. :D

I was using a Magnezone due to its ability, Magnet Pull, in order to increase my chances of getting a steel-type Bronzor. I have no idea if abilities influenced my chances of getting shinies or if this was all pure dumb luck.
